What are sex dreams?

According to medical science – sex dream, wet dream, sexual dreams, nightfall, all are known as a nocturnal emission in case of male.

When a boy or teenager reaches adolescence many natural changes take place in the body. One of the primary changes are  the growth of sex orgasm and hormone changes in the body. As a result of hormone changes in the body a young boy starts to feel sexually  and dreams of sex.

Sex dreams or wet dreams are when a person orgasm involuntarily while in sleeping because of a dream, which may or may not be erotic.

Orgasm involuntarily means ejaculation without masturbation or intercourse. This is when a young boy ejaculates while he is sleeping. During ejaculation, semen comes out of penis  and  this what noticed on underwear or inner wear. Wet dreams usually happens during dreams that may have sexual images or thoughts. Sometimes boys wake up from wet dream, but sometimes they sleep through it.

Sex dreams begin during puberty when the boy starts making more testosterone, which is a male hormone. There is no reason to feel guilty or feel embarrassed about having sex dreams. Those are normal part and parcel of growing up and no one can stop them from happening.

There is no age factors, most boys have sex dreams at some point during puberty, and even sometimes as adults. Usually sex dreams happens less as boys get older or mature.

Wet dreams are not caused by masturbation during sleep, those may occur without any manual stimulation.

Are sex dreams normal?

Sex dreams are completely normal and nothing to be alarmed about. Having sex dreams won’t impact your fertility and those are not a sign of an underlying health issue or illness. Yes some cultural and religious beliefs can influence how sex dreams are perceived and some people can experience anxiety of semen-loss.  

When do sex dreams begin?

Sex  dreams normally begin during puberty in boys between 13 to 17 years of age, or may be less. These are the signs of puberty in males along with the change in voice, growth in penis, facial hair. When boys attain puberty, their testes are scrotum continue to enlarge along with penis, and the growth of pubic hair.

What causes sex dreams?

As per medical advice there is no specific cause or reason of sex dreams in boys or adult. Wet dreams may occur due to several causes and are usually harmless. It may normally settle down with age, and time. But if it occurs frequently, almost daily or anytime then it can be a cause of concern.

What is frequency of sex dreams?

Sex dreams are a normal part of growing up, but not each and every boy has them. Some boys have a lot of them or regularly and  some don’t have any, the frequency of sex  dreams varies from person to person. But it doesn’t mean there is anything wrong or abnormal. It’s all normal.

Adults get sex dreams too?

Sex dreams are not just experienced by teenager only. Adult may also experience a wet dream, especially if someone is not masturbating or having sex. However, wet dreams do not mean that someone is not having sex or unhappy with sexual partner.

What are the side effects of sex dreams?

In case of excess sex dreams, those dreams may make a person physically, sexually, and psychologically weak up to some extent. The typical symptoms of a person suffering from wet dreams may be—

Restlessness

Disturb night sleep

Night sweat

Difficulty in urinating

Emotional disturbance

Can sex dreams are stopped?

There is nothing that anyone can do to control or stop wet dreams, but once started releasing sperm by masturbation or having sex with partner, the frequency may be lesser. Distracting the mind with a book before bed, daily practice of Yoga and meditation may be helpful.

Do women have sex dreams?

Yes, it is not abnormal if women have nocturnal orgasm or sex dreams, wet dreams. For women, the experience may be less wet but still intense. The sexual dreams may lead to vaginal lubrication and orgasm. That can be happen during adolescence and throughout adulthood. Reaching orgasm during sleep is more common among males than females. But women should not worry if they have nocturnal orgasm or not.

Well to Conclude  Sex dreams are completely natural occurrence for both men and women from puberty through adulthood.  Don’t bother, whether everyone experience it or not, but there is certainly nothing wrong if you experience it . Just keep in mind that sleep orgasm, like all other orgasms, are super natural, individual. There is no right or wrong to have it. Instead of keep imagining about erotic, sensual  activities, focus on your studies, building career, live healthy life, do yoga and other physical exercise, play out door or indoor games. Stay healthy, But don’t masturbate to avoid wet dreams.
